Line
Learning Goal: We are learning how to identify the characteristics of a
variety of lines so that we can use them to create interesting artwork. A line starts at a point (a single mark in space with an exact location) and extends from it). Lines are one of the most basic elements of design. Artists use them to make shapes and show movement, emotion, ideas, and create mood. You can see lines everywhere around you: *the curve of an arch *the straight lines of a skyscraper *the intricate veins of a leaf Artists look for these lines so that they can capture how things really look and share their emotions or ideas. |
